Lewis County FRN – home to more than 50 programs and projects.
We have five offices, located in Lewis, Upshur, Harrison, and Clay counties. Primary efforts include:
** Family Resource Network indirect services – information and resource referral, community assessment, & community partner collaboration
** Family Support Center direct services – strengthening families, encouraging protective factors, parenting education, & primary prevention efforts
** Direct service, basic needs services – food pantry, fresh produce distribution, hot soup to go, diaper and baby pantry, household pantry
** Backpack Buddies – weekend feeding program for school-aged children, serving all 6 public schools in Lewis County
** Parents as Teachers Home Visitation – home visitation services that support the entire family unit, free for families who are pregnant or have a child under 5 years old
** Substance Use Disorder prevention – promoting preventing and intervention through evidence based strategies and curriculum
** Try This WV – Try This aims to help knock West Virginia off the top of the worst health lists, community by community, by building a statewide grassroots network of healthy-community leaders who expand opportunities for physical activity and/or healthy food in their communities.
